January 2009 - round-up
I’ve just finished working with Marisa Tomei on the promotions of the award-winning film The Wrestler; I used my Tara Smith Base Coat Serum and Top Coat Glosser for the premieres as her hair has been put through quite a bit on different projects. She’s a huge fan of these products as they’re really moisturising. I changed her hair style for the different events, one of the looks I created was a clip in fringe - they look so real and are an easy way to drastically change your style.
A great tip that to maxise the shine on your hair is spray my Top Coat Glosser on section by section and waft the hairdryer over it for a good distribution.
While in the UK I’ve done Natalie Imbruglia’s hair for a photo-shoot with Roland Mouret for Elle magazine; because she’s gone back to brunette her hair needs lots of nourishment (essential for any colour change), so Natalie’s using Tara Smith Straight Away shampoo and conditioner. It’s like hair irons in a bottle, the ginko biloba and marine algae work to make hair really shine and leave it soft and smooth. Also to get it really smooth my Base Coat Serum is a miracle worker. It’s so cold here, I’d advise everyone to use the Tara Smith Base Coat Serum – it’s like a primer for your hair. We need decent protection from the elements and the serum will keep hair well conditioned.
To buy the products go to www.cultbeauty.co.uk (opens in a new window) or call Tesco 0800 505 555.
I have also had some work published in print - www.50hairstylists.com - The book is described as “the book like no other in the salon industry. 50 of the world’s top hairdressers, salon owners, colorists and makeup artists share their secrets to success”.
Love and light,
Tara Smith
