Q: How do I know when my order ships?
We’ll send you an email when your order ships. If you don’t receive an email, send us a note with your order number and we’ll look into the status for you. You can also check your order status any time at TaraSmith.com.

If you have not yet received a shipping confirmation email from us, send us a note with your order number and your change request. We can usually accommodate change requests if they’re made within 24 hours of placing the original order. If we need to cancel the order, we will issue you a prompt refund.
Q: My order hasn’t arrived – what should I do?
Please make sure you’ve received a shipping confirmation email from us, and have checked the status of your shipment with UPS. If UPS claims the package was delivered, but you haven’t received it, send us an email.
Q: Can I return used product?
Yes. If you have purchased a Tara Smith Haircare product and feel it’s not right for your hair, we’re happy to recommend a different product or give you a full refund. We do not accept empty bottles for return; but will accept opened bottles.
Q: When will I receive credit for my return?
We process refunds 48 hours after receiving your returned items. The refund will be processed to your original payment method.
Q: I use Tara Smith Haircare products regularly. Is there an easy way to re-order?
You can log into your TaraSmith.com account to see your previous orders and place another order. We are looking into rolling out a subscription-based service for our regular shoppers – subscribe to our mailing list to find out when it becomes available.

Q: Are Tara Smith Haircare products made in the UK?
Tara Smith Haircare products were born in the UK – dreamed up and formulated by celebrity hairstylist and resident Brit, Tara Smith. The products are all made here in the USA with high performance botanicals and natural ingredients.
Q: How do I use the products?
Read the product instructions on the side of the bottle for full details on how to best use each individual shampoo and conditioner, or see below for basic instructions and details on how to use our styling products. Always avoid getting product into your eyes – if this happens, rinse thoroughly with cold water.
Shampoos: Massage deeply into the scalp. Rinse well and repeat if needed.
Conditioners: Comb gently through hair with a wide-toothed comb for perfect detangling, then rinse with cool water to help seal the cuticle.
Base Coat Serum: Apply to damp hair (not wet!) and distribute the serum thoroughly from mid-length to the ends of your hair. Style as usual, or leave to dry naturally.
Brilliant Thickening Cream: On damp hair: rub a liberal amount between palms, distribute evenly throughout the hair and work in. Style as usual. On dry hair: rub a liberal amount between palms to finger tips. Apply using fingertips, beginning at the roots and working through to the ends.
Rock On Hard Gel: To get a sleek & structured look, use a dime-sized amount for short hair or a quarter-sized amount for medium to long length hair and style as you like.
Shining Moment Glosser: After styling, spray glosser all over your hair.
Q: What’s in the products?
Tara Smith Haircare products are free of toxins, harsh chemicals, gluten, and animal products. The performance-based botanicals in every product are formulated with proven, professional-grade haircare ingredients to suit and nourish every hair type. See individual labels for a full list of ingredients.
Q: What should I do if I have an allergic reaction to a product?
Tara’s products are lab and consumer tested to ensure the risk of allergic reaction is very small. The products are also gluten free and suitable for use by people with gluten sensitivities. If you do experience any reaction, discontinue use of the product and rinse the affected area thoroughly with water. Please email us if you have any problems, and be sure to speak with a healthcare professional if you continue to experience an issue.
